USmax Awarded GSA 8(a) STARS II Option Period
USmax Corporation (USmax), a leading provider of Cyber Security, Technical and Physical Security, Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Management, and Enterprise Applications services, announced today that it has received a modification to exercise the option period for its General Services Administration (GSA) 8(a) STARS II Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). USmax has been providing services to federal government customers on the base STARS II contract since initial award in 2011. The new five-year option period allows USmax to continue providing services through August 30, 2021.

The STARS II GWAC is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract designed to promote small business utilization when purchasing information technology (IT) services or IT services-based solutions for the federal government. It consists of two constellations (tiers) based on industry accreditations. USmax is able to perform on all four Functional Areas under Constellation I: 541511 – Custom Computer Programming Services, 541512 – Computer Systems Design Services, 541513 – Computer Facilities Management Services, and 541519 – Other Computer Related Services.
