508 Compliance

USmax Corporation’s website meets the “Section 508” technical standards of 1194.22 (Web-based Internet Information and Applications) and to the extent stated in the accompanying Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (“VPAT”). We therefore certify compliance with the following solicitation requirement, or similar solicitation requirements:

“All electronic and information technology (EIT) procured through this Statement of Work/Bill of Materials and any resulting contract, task order, delivery order, or purchase order must meet the applicable accessibility standards at 36 CFR 1194, unless an agency exception to this requirement exists. 36 CFR 1194 implements Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and is viewable here. The contractor shall indicate for each line item in the schedule whether each product or service is compliant or noncompliant with the accessibility standards at 36 CFR 1194. Further, the proposal must indicate where full details of compliance can be found (e.g., vendor’s website or other exact location).”

(k) A text-only page, with equivalent information or functionality, shall be provided to make a web site comply with the provisions of this part, when compliance cannot be accomplished in any other way. (l) When pages utilize scripting languages to display content, or to create interface elements, the information provided by the script shall be identified with functional text that can be read by Assistive Technology. Supported Website scripting can be understood by most Assistive Technology
(m) When a web page requires that an applet, plug-in or other application be present on the client system to interpret page content, the page must provide a link to a plug-in or applet that complies with ยง1194.21(a) through (l). Not Applicable Website does not require applets or plug-ins
(n) When electronic forms are designed to be completed on-line, the form shall allow people using Assistive Technology to access the information, field elements, and functionality required for completion and submission of the form, including all directions and cues.
